Clodfelter Engraving E-mail Specifications

A few basic rules apply to ALL artwork needed to create quality plates:
Black & White Art ONLY (Screens or Halftones should be discussed)
Resolutions on scanned art to be no less than 600 dpi
Images that are to be Foiled or Embossed need to be in “BLACK”
(Reverse images are accepted and need to be noted)
Hard copy facsimile of image with approx. dimensions  (F: 314-968-2671)
 
A Compression utility such as Stuffit / WinZip will need to be utilized
to primarily protect file extensions and file size.
 
 
  Standardizing the file types we receive makes for more timely processing of
your order and eliminates errors in the E-mail process:
 
         Applications
                  Adobe Illustrator CS 5.5
                  Adobe Photoshop CS 5.5
                  Adobe Acrobat 9.0
                  Corel Draw 10
                  Adobe In Design CS 5.5
 
  The most consistent results have been achieved by using Adobe Illustrator
  utilizing the format .eps. “Create Outlines” on all fonts and select the “Include
  Placed Images” box in the saving window and all files will be properly
  formatted. Other files like .tif / .jpg / .pct / .bmp can be opened by Photoshop
  but the resolution of these images is very important and needs to be
  aminimum of 600 dpi.
